"How to Keep a Healthy Brain" Workshops

HPH Hospice will be providing two free workshops in Pasco County about how to maintain a healthy brain. TaWanna Noel, a program specialist for the Alzheimer’s Association will facilitate these workshops for Baby Boomers and Seniors.  The program will be presented on February 22nd in New Port Richey and on February 28th in Dade City (see below). Free Memory Screenings in September

If you’re age 50 or older and feeling forgetful, there’s probably no reason to worry.  However, you can put your mind at ease by making an appointment for a free, 20-minute memory screening.  HPH Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association are sponsoring memory screenings this month for people age 50 and older in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Mobile bus. Space is limited, so you will need to register for an appointment. To register, call Jan Double at 727-705-0107.  This bus will be parked at two locations in Pasco County:

Health Care Advance Directives Program

Medline Plus describes health care advance directives as "legal documents that allow you to convey your decisions about end of life care ahead of time. They provide a way for you to communicate your wishes to family, friends and health care professionals, and to avoid confusion later on".  Types of health care advance directives include living wills and choosing a health care surrogate. The HPH Hospice organization will be sponsoring a program explaining these directives this Wednesday.  Seating is limited, so reserve your place by calling Jan Double at (727) 863-7971.
